ICAR-IARI Recruitment 2022: Attend Walk-In-Interview and Get a Job Without Exam
ICAR-IARI in its latest notification has invited eligible candidates for the walk-in-interview and career opportunities in chemistry, plant biotechnology, genetics, and biotechnology. Interested and qualified applicants should review the information provided below.
On July 20, 2022, a walk-in-interview for various posts in externally supported projects will be held in the Division of Plant Physiology, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi-12. The positions are solely contractual. Candidates must present a person with biodata in the included proforma and a self-attested scanned copy of the original papers.
1. Name of the Post–
a) Research Associate -I
b) JRF/Project Associate I
Name of the Project – Site-Directed mutagenesis of low-affinity nitrate transporter gene for improving nitrogen efficiency in aerobic rice.
Age Limit– 40 years for RA, 35 years for JRF/PA-I.
Emoluments –
-
RA-I: Rs. 47,000 + 24% HRA p.m.
-
JRF: Rs. 31,000/- plus 24% HRA p.m. or
-
Project Associate-I: 25,000 + 24% HRA p.m.
Essential Qualifications-
-
For RA-I – Doctorate in Plant Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology & Biotechnology/ Life Science (Plant Science) from a recognized university.

For JRF/PA-I – 1st class M.Sc. in subjects as above-mentioned for RA.

Desirable for RA-I – Hands-on experience of basic molecular techniques such as cloning, transformation, tissue culture, mutations by any molecular approach, knowledge of R, data analysis and interpretation, and report writing. Research publications in SCI journal (first/ corresponding author).
2. Name of the Post–Research Fellow
Name of the Project – Impact of fertilization on grain nutritional quality for human health: Fertilizer Research & Responsible Implementation
Age Limit– 35 years.
Emoluments – Rs. 30,000/- (Consolidated)
Educational Qualification-
-
Essential– 1st class Master’s degree in Biotechnology /Agriculture with major in Crop or Plant Physiology/Biochemistry from a Govt recognized university.

Desirable– Nutrient analysis, HPLC operation, statistical analyses, data interpretation, report writing, Expertise in MS Office.
3. Name of the Post– JRF/Project Associate I.
Name of the Project – Germplasm Characterization and Trait Discovery in Wheat using, Genomics Approaches and its Integration for Improving Climate Resilience, Productivity, and Nutritional quality.
Emoluments –
-
Rs. 31,000/- plus 24% HRA p.m. for 1&2 year

SRF/Project Associate-II in years 3, 4, & 5 with Rs. 35,000 plus 24% HRA p.m.

Rs. 25,000/- plus 24% HRA p.m. for others without the above qualification.
Educational Qualification-

Essential– 1st class Master’s degree in Agricultural Sciences/ Plant Physiology/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Genetics & Plant Breeding/Life Sciences (Plant Science)/ Botany (Physiology specialization). OR Post Graduate degree in relevant Professional courses.

Desirable– Experience in working with field crops, designing field layout, statistical analyses, data interpretation, report writing, tissue nutrient analysis, etc. Expertise in MS Office.
4. Name of the Post–JuniorResearch Fellow
Name of the Project – Study of Physiological and Molecular basis of ammonia volatilization losses from rice canopy and its relationship with nitrogen use efficiency under changing climate.
Emoluments – Rs. 31,000/- plus 24% HRA p.m.
Educational Qualification-

Essential– 1st class Master’s degree in Plant or Crop Physiology, Botany (plant physiology), Biotechnology, Life Science (plant science). Qualified NET/GATE or any National Level Exams conducted by Central Govt Dept.

Desirable– Experience in working with field crops, designing field layout, statistical analyses, data interpretation, report writing, and basic molecular techniques. Expertise in MS Office.
