The Division of Plant Pathology at ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), has announced a recruitment drive for multiple positions under the DBT-funded Indo-Australia project on "RNA-based biopesticides for sustainable crop protection." The project is aimed at developing innovative solutions for sustainable agriculture, particularly in crop protection.

The recruitment includes positions for one Research Associate, two Senior Research Fellows (SRFs), one Project Assistant, and one Semi-skilled support staff. Interested candidates are invited to attend a walk-in interview scheduled for January 24, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the Division of Plant Pathology, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi.

The Research Associate position, which offers a monthly salary of Rs. 47,000 plus HRA, requires candidates to have a Ph.D. in fields like Biotechnology, Plant Biochemistry, Plant Pathology, or related life sciences disciplines. Alternatively, candidates with three years of research experience post-M.Tech and a research paper published in an SCI journal can also apply. Desirable qualifications include experience in molecular cloning and handling insects, plants, and viruses.

For the SRF positions, candidates must have a postgraduate degree in Life Sciences, Zoology, Botany, Biotechnology, Entomology, or Plant Pathology, with four to five years of undergraduate study. Those with a Bachelor's degree in Basic Sciences and a Master's degree with NET qualifications and at least two years of research experience are also eligible. Candidates should have experience in molecular cloning and handling insects, plants, and viruses. The SRF role offers a salary of Rs. 35,000 plus HRA per month.

The Project Assistant position, which offers a salary of Rs. 20,000 plus HRA, requires a Bachelor's degree in any life sciences field, with desirable experience in handling insects, plants, and viruses.

The Semi-skilled support staff position offers a salary of Rs. 18,000 per month. The candidate must have a matriculation qualification with experience in culturing plant viruses and insects.

Applicants are required to bring a completed application form, original certificates, self-attested photocopies of qualifications, work experience, and two passport-size photographs for verification during the interview. No call letters will be issued, and applicants must ensure timely arrival at the venue.
