ICAR-IARI’s PUSA Krishi Hosts 'Parichay 2024': Igniting Innovation in Agri-Entrepreneurship

PUSA Krishi, ICAR-IARI hosted 'Parichay 2024' an event dedicated to fostering connections and celebrating collaboration among startups incubated under the DST scheme. The meticulously curated event by PUSA Krishi promised a day of insightful discussions, networking opportunities and showcasing innovative solutions shaping the future of agriculture.

"Parichay 2024" took place on 13th May 2024 at the Virology Hall, Plant Pathology Division, from 10:00 AM to 03:00 PM. Eminent dignitaries who graced the occasion included Dr. Viswanathan Chinnusamy, Joint Director (Res.), IARI; Shardul, Scientist-C & Under Secretary, Department of Science & Technology (DST); Dr. R.N Sahoo - Principal Scientist, Agricultural Physics, IARI; Dr. Dr Bhupinder Singh, Principal Scientist, Environment Science, IARI; Dr. Akriti Sharma, CEO, PUSA Krishi; Dr. Ashish Khandelwal, Scientist, Environment Science, IARI; Dr. Dilip Kumar Kushwaha, Scientist, Agricultural Engineering, IARI and Incubation Ecosystem Partners – EIP, Social Alpha, FAAD, Equity360, Pedal Start and over 20 pioneering agri startups.

Addressing participants, Dr. Viswanathan said we were delighted to host 'Parichay 2024' an event that reflects our commitment to nurturing a vibrant ecosystem for agri-entrepreneurs. He added that IARI will continue to provide all necessary support and assistance to the startups in every possible way.

During the event, participants showcased their ideas and products, engaging with investors for potential funding and support to drive their ventures forward.

The key highlight of the event was signing of an Memorandum of Understanding with Pilani Innovation & Entrepreneurship Development Society (PIEDS), BITS Pilani, with the common goal of advancing innovation and entrepreneurship in agricultural technology and allied sectors.

It is worth mentioning that Parichay 2024 is the first ever "meet and greet" event under DST's SHITIJ program, aimed at promoting synergy and knowledge exchange among incubated startups.
