ICAR-IASRI Organizes 21-Day Training Program on AI-based Agriculture Applications

Held online from March 5 to March 24, 2024, the ICAR-IASRI was focused on the theme of 'Development of AI-based Android Applications in Agriculture.'

The ICAR-Indian Agricultural Statistics Research Institute (IASRI) concluded a 21-day training program focusing on the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and mobile application development in agricultural practices. Held online from March 5 to March 24, 2024, the Centre for Advanced Faculty Training program focused on the theme of 'Development of AI-based Android Applications in Agriculture.'

The program witnessed the presence of Dr. Rajender Parsad, Director of ICAR-IASRI, New Delhi, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The initiative was geared towards enhancing the professional skills of scientists and teaching faculties hailing from various ICAR institutes and Agricultural Universities across the nation.

Empowering Agricultural Experts with Cutting-edge Technology

The training program served as a platform for participants to delve deeper into designing and developing Android applications utilizing machine learning (ML) and deep learning techniques tailored specifically for agriculture. Over three weeks, participants engaged in multiple sessions aimed at honing their expertise in integrating advanced AI models into Android applications, with a keen focus on practical implementation.

A total of 35 scientists and teaching faculties spanning 19 different disciplines, actively participated in the training program. Through hands-on workshops and interactive sessions, attendees gained valuable insights into the utilization of various tools and technologies pertinent to the development of AI-driven solutions in agriculture.
