ICAR-NRRI Director Attends OUAT Farmers' Fair 2023 As it Concludes Today

In addition to numerous panel talks, the event today included a number of stalls set up for the attending farmers and other industry professionals

OUAT Farmers' Fair 2023 Concludes Today at Bhubaneshwar

Post a successive inaugural ceremony and two rounds of technical workshops on Day 1, the OUAT Farmers' Fair 2023 received a massive footfall on its conclusion day on Tuesday.

The day-2 of the event began with the arrival of guests on the dais and their welcome by the floral bouquet and a welcome address along with a brief report on the fair by Dr SK Swain, dean of research at OUAT.

Dr Amaresh Kumar Nayak, Director ICAR-NRRI (Cuttack), Sj Hemanta Kumar Panda, Director, Soil Conservation & WSD (Odisha), and Sj Rohit Kumar Lenka, IFS, Director, Horticulture (Odisha) also addressed the gathering.

Later, Prof Pravat Kumar Roul, vice-chancellor of Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology, felicitated the 'achiever farmers' for their significant contributions to the agriculture sector at the ongoing OUAT Farmers' Fair 2023 in Bhubaneshwar.

The latter also distributed the awards among the best stalls set-up at the event.

Several stalls were set up at the event today for the participating farmers and other industry professionals, in addition to numerous panel discussions.

The last day of the fair concluded with a plenary session including Dr Rabiratna Dash, OIC, AICRP, and Dr Sumita Acharya, scientist, KVK, Puri on weed management.

Previously, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Indian Council of Agricultural Research and the Odisha Agricultural and Technical University in the presence of departmental officials to advance agricultural research and extension at the event on Monday.

Farmers attending the fair had the opportunity to network with business leaders and learn about the most recent scientific and technological breakthroughs, as well as sustainable farming practices.
