The event, which will take place from July 16th to July 18th at the Dr. C. Subramaniam Auditorium, NASC Complex, aims to promote innovation in agriculture and recognize developers of selected technologies.

The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, is responsible for coordinating, guiding, and managing research and education in various fields such as agriculture, horticulture, fisheries, and animal sciences. With 113 ICAR institutes and 74 agricultural universities across the country, ICAR plays a crucial role in conducting cutting-edge research in agricultural sciences.

The Foundation and Technology Day celebration will feature a technology exhibition and industry interface, which will be the major highlight of the event. The exhibition will showcase novel technologies developed by different ICAR institutes, aiming to enhance agricultural production, improve quality, and increase the income of farmers. Emphasizing sustainable and climate-resilient agriculture, the exhibition will also focus on eco-friendly technologies for crops like rice, wheat, maize, pulses, oilseeds, millet, and other commercial crops.

Mechanization, precision farming, and value-added products will receive special attention as well. The exhibition will also highlight the robust extension system and innovative education system of ICAR, demonstrating the successful promotion of agriculture.

Moreover, the event will exhibit proven technologies in animal science, poultry, and fisheries for the benefit of stakeholders. Various technologies and products developed by ICAR institutes with the potential for commercialization will be on display, attracting participation from more than 100 industry partners.

This platform will provide these partners with exposure to different types of technologies and products, fostering interactions between ICAR and industries under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Model. The exhibition aims to facilitate the widespread dissemination of technology and the popularization of agricultural science.

The ICAR Foundation and Technology Day will also include the participation of over 500 farmers and 1000 students from neighboring states. Their involvement will contribute to the vibrant atmosphere of the event and allow them to benefit from the knowledge and advancements showcased during the celebrations.
