ICL Inaugurates State-of-the-Art Water-Soluble NPK Fertilizer Manufacturing Plant in Maharashtra

ICL has launched a state-of-the-art specialty fertilizer facility in Supa, Maharashtra. Supporting "Make in India," the plant utilizes advanced Israeli technology to produce water-soluble fertilizers, enhancing domestic supply and sustainability.

ICL's new state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Maharashtra advances sustainable agriculture through domestic NPK fertilizer production.

Supa, Maharashtra | Date: May 5, 2026: ICL, a leading global specialty fertilizer and agricultural input company, today inaugurated its state-of-the-art specialty fertilizer manufacturing facility at Supa, Ahilyanagar, Maharashtra. Through this project, the company has further strengthened its presence in India while achieving a significant milestone in the domestic production of water-soluble fertilizers for sustainable agriculture.

At a time when global fertilizer availability continues to face multiple disruptions, this facility will enable domestic manufacturing of advanced water-soluble fertilizers, reducing dependency on imports and ensuring a reliable and consistent supply for farmers. The project successfully integrates advanced Israeli technology with local expertise, enabling crop-specific nutrient management, higher efficiency, and promotion of sustainable agricultural practices.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Nir Elani, President, ICL Growing Solutions, said:
“Establishing this manufacturing facility in India marks a major strategic step in expanding our specialty fertilizer business. Aligned with the ‘Make in India’ initiative, this project will support farmers in improving productivity and crop quality while accelerating ICL’s future growth journey.”
