IIT Madras Announces JAM 2024 Examination Date
JAM 2024 will be conducted as a computer-based test in seven test papers in over 100 cities across the country. Eligible candidates can apply online from September 5, 2023 to October 13, 2023.
The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) is going to organize Joint Admission Test (JAM) for Master Programmes. Eligible candidates can apply online from September 5, 2023 to October 13, 2023.
Examination will be held on Sunday, February 11, 2024.
It is to be noted that the JAM 2024 score is only valid for one year. For admissions to Masters Programmes for the academic year 2024–25, candidates need to appear for JAM 2024.
Who all are eligible for JAM 2024?

Candidates who have completed an undergraduate degree

Candidates who are currently studying in the final year of undergraduate programmes

Foreign candidates with Indian degrees (subject to the policy of the admitting Institute)

There is no age restriction.

Indian Institute of Madras (IITM)
The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM) was established in 1959 by the Government of India as an ‘Institute of National Importance.’ The activities of the Institute in various fields of Science and Technology are carried out in 17 academic departments and several advanced interdisciplinary research academic centres.
The Institute offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes leading to B.Tech., M.Sc., M.B.A., M.Tech., M.S., and Ph.D., degrees in a variety of specialisations. The Institute has also been ranked No.1 in the ‘Engineering Institutions’ category in the same Rankings for eight consecutive years – from 2016 to 2023.
Candidates on the JAM 2024 merit list are eligible for admission to about 3000 seats in various postgraduate programs at IITs and over 2000 seats at IISc and NITs, IIEST Shibpur, SLIET, and DIAT through CCMN.
Admission will be for Masters programmes M.Sc., M.Sc. (Tech), M.Sc.-M.Tech. Dual Degree, M.S. (Research), Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D., and M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree in various institutes.
