As part of the India-UAE trade agreement signed on February 18, 2022, India has announced the establishment of the first Indian Institute of Technology, or IIT, in Dubai. This will be the first time that India's premier institute, IIT, is established outside of India.

After a bilateral meeting between the two countries' representatives on February 18, a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement, or CEPA, was signed.

With the UAE delegation led by Minister of Economy Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri and Minister of State for Foreign Trade Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal inked an India-UAE trade agreement.

India's national institutes are known as IITs, and there are currently 23 IITs in the country. These 23 IITs are scattered around the country and offer undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and doctoral (Ph.D.) programmes. IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Kharagpur, and IIT Madras are among India's top IITs. IITs are well-known for providing B Tech and M Tech degree programmes.

The two countries will also establish an India–UAE cultural council to assist and promote cultural projects, cross-cultural exchanges, and exhibitions, among other things, according to the agreement.

India and the United Arab Emirates have also committed to support each other's clean energy initiatives and to form a cooperative hydrogen task force to scale up technologies, primarily green hydrogen production.

Why is IIT important?

IITians have a strong presence in industry and academia around the world. Your college years will teach you the value of networking and entrepreneurship. These life skills assist pupils in becoming aware of current technologies and becoming self-sufficient enough to start their own businesses at a young age.

IITs offer students a lot more than just academic education. If you are willing to work hard to achieve your objectives, they have the power to change your life. There isn't a finer place to start on the road to success than this one.
