According to IMD's most recent forecast, during the next 4-5 days, dense to extremely dense fog will affect several states and continue to cause cold wave conditions in as many as eight states in the plains of north and northwest India.

When outside, IMD has recommended people protect their faces. According to recent advice from IMD, dense to extremely dense fog is predicted to make movement difficult and driving dangerous.
