The nation's meteorologists predict that the monsoon will intensify during the coming months.

On Saturday, the southwest monsoon reached all of India, providing much-needed relief from the heat. Nearly six days earlier than anticipated, the monsoon has reached Rajasthan, Gujarat, and the northern Arabian Sea, according to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD). India has already had significant rains in several locations.

The weather service reported that the southwest monsoon reached the entire nation on Saturday, six days earlier than the typical date of July 8.

The most recent IMD advisory on Saturday stated that while the western coast may have widespread light to moderate rainfall over the next two days, rainfall may only occur in sporadic or isolated locations elsewhere in the nation.

Over 170 people have died in Assam as a result of the flooding. The rescue teams went through the mud at a construction site in Manipur as well, which caused a mudslide that claimed at least 19 lives.

On Friday, Mumbai also had heavy rains for the second straight day, which caused waterlogging and traffic problems. With 227.8 mm, the Colaba observatory in south Mumbai recorded the wettest July day since 2015. Before this, there had been 228 mm of precipitation on July 15–16, 2014.

According to Radheshyam Sharma, Director of the Jaipur Meteorological Centre, Rajasthan's districts of Jaipur, Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Alwar, Bandra, Kota, Churu, Hanumangarh, and Bikaner have seen severe rains over the past 24 hours. On Saturday, light to moderate rain is predicted in various regions of the state. However, he added that starting on July 3, 2022, some areas of the state would have less rain activity.

The department predicted that extensive rainfall in Bihar will also be accompanied by thunderstorms or lightning for the ensuing four to five days. The nation's meteorologists predict that the monsoon will intensify during the coming months. According to PTI, they have also predicted evenly distributed rainfall for July.
