IMD Warns of Extremely Heavy Rainfall & Storm in These 4 States
IMD in its latest advisory has predicted heavy rainfall over the Southern parts of India.
According to the latest forecast from the India Meteorological Department (IMD), extremely heavy rain is expected over many states in India for the next few days. People have been asked to stay alert and follow necessary precautions.
Heavy rainfall is likely over the southern states of Tamil Nadu & Puducherry, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana.
The monsoon will be leaving some parts of northwest India and central India during the next two to three days, according to the weather agency.

The Southwest Monsoon's retreat line travels through the cities of Khajuwala, Bikaner, Jodhpur, and Naliya.

Conditions are improving for the Southwest Monsoon to depart from more areas of northwest India and neighboring central India over the next two to three days.
Heavy Rainfall Warning

In the lower and intermediate troposphere, a cyclonic circulation is present across the Northwest and adjoining West Central Bay of Bengal. Under its influence, isolated heavy falls and thunderstorms/lightning are extremely likely over coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, and Telangana from September 27–30, as well as over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal on September 27 and 28.

Meanwhile, widespread light to moderate rainfall is expected, with a few isolated heavy amounts predicted over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, and Odisha on September 27 and 28.

Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura will likely have scattered to reasonably widespread mild to moderate rainfall on September 28, as will the Andaman and Nicobar Islands on September 29 and 30.

The rest of the country is likely to experience isolated or scattered light rainfall activity, except for many regions in the northwest and central India, where dry weather is expected.

Scattered to fairly widespread light, moderate rainfall activity likely over adjoining areas of Jharkhand, North Peninsular India, West Coast, and Islands.
