IMD Weather: Heavy Rain Alert in MP, HP, J&K; Moderate Rain in Delhi

IMD has issued heavy rain alert in around 15 districts of Madhya Pradesh. The alert is till today morning.

Himachal Rains

IMD has issued heavy rain alert in around 15 districts of Madhya Pradesh. The alert is till today morning. The forecast talks of isolated rain episodes in Tikamgarh, Sagar, Datia, Chhatarpur, Anuppur, Shivpuri, Dindori, Neemuch, Mandsaur, Balaghat, Sheopur, Bhind, Morena, Mandla, and Ratlam districts of the state.

Jabalpur, Rewa, Shahdol, and Sagar divisions are also likely to receive rains or thundershowers. Places like Bhopal, Ujjain, Indore, Gwalior, Hoshangabad, and Chambal divisions will also receive the same weather conditions.

Delhi rains

Today, Delhi woke up to an overcast sky. Delhiites are enjoying a pleasant weather these days with maximum temperature not crossing 35 degree Celsius. Moderate rains are predicted today, as IMD had already announced that Delhi may receive moderate to heavy rains this week, particularly upto July 30.

Rains in Himachal, Jammu, and Uttarakhand

IMD predicts that the current spell of widespread rains will continue in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Haryana, and Punjab till July 30. This will feature isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall. After that, there will be a slow decrease in the intensity of rainfall, as per forecast.

North India rains

Uttar Pradesh will receive widespread rains with isolated heavy rainfall in the next 5 days. States like Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Gangetic West Bengal will also receive the same rainfall activity.

IMD predicts extremely heavy rains over Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh today and over East Madhya Pradesh (MP) tomorrow.

According to forecast, Chhattisgarh and East MP are likely to get isolated heavy to very heavy rains till August 2.

From July 30, rainfall intensity is likely to increase in areas of East Rajasthan and West MP. These areas may get fairly widespread to widespread rains characterized with isolated heavy to very heavy rains.

Isolated extremely heavy rains may occur over East Rajasthan from July 30 to August 2 and over West MP on July 31.
