IMD Weather Update: Heavy Rainfall & Thunderstorm to Continue in These States for Next 3 Days
In Delhi's west, centre, north, northwest, south, and southeast, light to moderate rainfall is expected.
The Indian Meteorological Department has forecasted heavy rainfall, thunderstorms and lightening for the upcoming three days in several states, including Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Delhi.
Parts of the nation's capital have been receiving heavy amounts of rain over the past two days. In Delhi's west, centre, north, northwest, south, and southeast, light to moderate rainfall is expected.
The southwest monsoon is proclaimed to have withdrawn, if there hasn't been any rain in the area for the last five days, anticyclonic circulation is developing, and water vapour imagery suggests dry weather conditions over the area.
Three days after the usual date of September 17, the IMD reported on Tuesday that the southwest monsoon had left parts of southwest Rajasthan and the neighbouring Kutch region.
