India Post has announced the recruitment of Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) with 44,228 vacancies. The official notification was released on July 15, 2024, and candidates can apply online through the official website, indiapostgdsonline.gov.in, until August 5, 2024.

The eligibility criteria for this recruitment are simple, requiring candidates to have passed the 10th standard from a recognized board. There are no higher education or specific subject requirements, making the opportunity accessible to many. The age limit for applicants is set between 18 to 40 years, with age relaxation available for SC, ST, OBC, and PWD candidates as per government norms.

Application fees vary based on the category of the candidates. SC, ST, PWD candidates, and all female applicants are exempt from the application fee, while male candidates from unreserved categories need to pay ₹100/-.

The selection process for the GDS posts is merit-based, relying solely on the marks obtained in the 10th standard. There will be no written examination or interview, ensuring a straightforward and transparent process.

To apply, candidates need to visit the official website and follow the registration process to obtain a unique registration number. After registering, candidates need to pay the application fee, fill out the application form, upload necessary documents, and submit the form.
