India’s Agam Khare Joins Scientific Advisory Council for Tata Transformation Prize run by New York Academy of Sciences, Tata Sons

The renowned New York Academy of Sciences, NYAS’ Scientific Advisory Council of the Tata Transformation Prize which is also run by Tata Sons has chosen Agam Khare, the Founder and CEO of 'Absolute', a bioscience company, to join the coveted council.

A handful of selected gems from all across the world manage to make it to the jury list of the Tata Transformation Prize. The New York Academy of Sciences has been enhancing scientific cognition through the progression of scientific investigation and understanding, bolstering scientific literacy, and advocating science-driven resolutions for global challenges. The who’s who from the world of science have been associated with the New York Academy of Sciences in the past, including Louis Pasteur, Charles Darwin, Alexander Graham Bell, Thomas Edison, and Nikola Tesla.

Tata Transformation Prize has been introduced to the world when everyone is heading towards bio-abled solutions. India's bio-economy is booming and expected to reach $270-300 Bn by 2030. The prize aims to leverage the immense potential of Indian scientists to tackle pressing issues in three areas— Food Security, Sustainability, and Healthcare—and generate improved quality-of-life outcomes in India and Globally.

Professor Nicholas Dirks, the President and CEO of the New York Academy of Sciences, said, “This prize is focused not only on science but also on innovative discoveries that put science to work for the betterment of society, to solving major global challenges in three core areas - food, healthcare, and sustainability.”
