India to Witness Active Monsoon till Independence Day, Check Weather Status in Your State

Over the following few days, it is predicted that regions in South India, particularly Karnataka and coastal Andhra Pradesh, would see severe rainfall.

Over the next few days, there is a good chance that several areas of central India could experience heavy rain. The central parts of India will see active monsoon conditions during the next five days, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Over the next two to three days, it is expected that the rainfall in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and the northeastern states will remain light. The monsoon trough is active and is located farther south than usual. It is likely to be active in the upcoming days and oscillates close to its stable position.

According to the IMD's weather bulletin, there will be "fairly widespread/widespread rainfall with isolated heavy falls and thunderstorm/lightning very likely over West Madhya Pradesh on August 12 and 14; East Madhya Pradesh on August 11 and 12; Chhattisgarh on August 11 and 13 and 15; Vidarbha and Saurashtra & Kutch on August 11; Gujarat State on August 12 and 13 and 15; Konkan & Goa and Madhya. On August 15 and on August 14 and 15, isolated very heavy rainfall is also possible over the west and east Madhya Pradesh.

Rainfall predictions for eastern and northeastern states:

Up until August 15, rain is also expected in the northeastern and eastern states. Fairly widespread/widespread rainfall with isolated heavy falls and thunderstorm/lightning very likely over Gangetic West Bengal on August 14; Jharkhand on August 11, 13, and 14; Odisha on August 12 and 13; Arunachal Pradesh on August 13 and 14; Assam & Meghalaya on August 13 and 15; and over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura on August 12 and 15 in 2022. Over Odisha on August 13 and 14, there is also a chance of isolated, very heavy rainfall.

Rainfall predictions for southern states:

Over the following few days, it is predicted that regions in South India, particularly Karnataka and coastal Andhra Pradesh, would see severe rainfall. On August 12, thunderstorms or lightning are very likely to happen over Karnataka. On August 13 and 14, they are very likely to strike across Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam.

Rainfall predictions for northern states:

Scattered/Fairly widespread rainfall with isolated heavy falls and thunderstorm/lightning very likely over East Rajasthan between November 11 and November 15; West Rajasthan between November 12 and November 13; Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand between November 11 and November 15; Punjab and Haryana on November 11; and Jammu & Kashmir between November 11 and November 14 and January 1. On Monday, there is a chance of a few isolated areas of very heavy rain in east Rajasthan.
