Insecticides (India) Limited Wins Accolades at FICCI India Chem Awards 2022; Recognized for Excellence in Exports

This year, a total of 108 applications were received from over 45 companies competing for 14 award categories at FICCI India Chem Awards 2022.

The award ceremony is held biannually as a part of the India Chem series of events to felicitate companies for their contribution to the development of the chemical and petrochemical industry.

At the recently concluded Chemical & Petrochemical Awards organized by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and in Delhi, Insecticides India Limited (IIL) has been bestowed with the prestigious award for ‘Excellence in Exports’.

The award ceremony is held biannually as a part of the India Chem series of events to felicitate companies for their contribution to the development of the chemical and petrochemical industry.

Rajesh Aggarwal, MD, Insecticides (India) Limited received the award on behalf of the team, which was conferred by Bhagwanth Khuba, Minister of State for Chemicals & Fertilisers of India, Arun Baroka, Secretary - Chemicals & Fertilisers, and Deepak Mehta, Chairman of National Chemical Committee and Chairman, Deepak Nitrates.

Speaking about the accomplishment, Rajesh Aggarwal, MD, Insecticides India Limited (IIL) said, “We are delighted to receive this prestigious award from FICCI, recognizing and honoring us for Excellence in Exports in the Chemicals Industry. This award will encourage us to do better in the coming time as we look forward to a bigger share in the coming years from Exports.”

Shrikant S Satwe, Sr. Vice President - International Business added “We thank FICCI and Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers for recognizing us in this field, as we have exported to 22 countries in the last fiscal which was just the 6th year of our international operations. We have a roadmap in place for entering into many geographies in our journey ahead.”    

This year, a total of 108 applications were received from over 45 companies competing for 14 award categories. IL owns the prestigious “Tractor Brand” which is highly popular among the farmers. This umbrella brand of its agro products signifies the company's deep connection with the farming community. Leading products of IIL are Pulsor, Green Label, Hakama, Monocil, Lethal Gold, Hercules, Sofia, Hachiman, Kunoichi, etc.

IIL has state-of-the-art formulation facilities in Chopanki (Rajasthan), Samba & Udhampur (Jammu & Kashmir), and Dahej (Gujarat). IIL also has technical synthesis plants at Chopanki and Dahej to manufacture technical grade chemicals providing a competitive edge by backward integration.

IIL has its 4 different R&D Centres working on different themes including the new product discovery R&D Centre in JV with OAT Agrio Co. Ltd. Japan. IIL has also set up a Biological R&D Centre and manufacturing unit at Shamli, UP which has rolled out biological products such as Mycoraja and KK Pro.
