International Day of Yoga 2023: On this particular occasion, numerous Twitter enthusiasts inundated the micro-blogging platform with their tweets, regardless of whether they were ordinary individuals or the most influential figures on Earth. The reason behind this surge in activity was the celebration of International Yoga Day. Among these participants, Sadhguru, a prominent spiritual leader, took the opportunity to share a photograph of himself assisting a young boy in perfecting his yoga posture. The accompanying tweet conveyed a profound message: Yoga encompasses the art of surpassing one's limitations and delving into the boundless essence of universal existence. It emphasized the unity of humanity, advocating for a shared destiny and a harmonious coexistence under the banner of One Earth, One Family, One Future.

Moreover, the students of Isha Samskriti presented a mesmerizing demonstration of Surya Shakti, a dynamic Yogic practice deeply connected to ancient traditions, at the prestigious Isha Yoga Center. This extraordinary occasion marked a splendid commencement of the summer solstice, encapsulating the very essence of this celestial event. Additionally, the foundation orchestrated a unique #yoga session with the Indian Coast Guards in Noida. The event was inaugurated by ADG Rakesh Pal, PTM, TM, DGICG (Additional Charge), and Dipa Pal, President Tatrakshika.

In addition to that, parks nationwide were adorned with people engaging in yoga practice today. During this event, Dr Satish Poonia, Deputy Leader of the Opposition in the Rajasthan Assembly, shared videos and pictures of a gathering performing yoga asanas at Jaigarh Fort in Jaipur. Visuals coming in show the pleasant weather, accompanied by a light drizzle, added to the serene ambiance of the occasion.

The sacred cities of Mathura and Vrindavan enthusiastically participated in the collective initiative to commemorate International Yoga Day. People were observed striking poses on the ghats of Mathura and Vrindavan, as showcased in a video shared by IAS officer Anunaya Jha.

Sonam Wangchuk, an engineer and proponent of educational reform from Ladakh, initiated a seven-day climate fast on Sunday. In addition, Wangchuk shared a video of himself practising yoga. His fasting campaign primarily aims to tackle the climate issues encountered in Ladakh and advocates for environmental conservation, along with pushing for the implementation of the Sixth Schedule of the Constitution in the region.
