On the occasion of celebrating 61st Foundation Day of Central Institute of Fisheries Technology (CIFT), Cochin. The Institute showcased the technologies developed for fishing, processing and post-harvest technologies for better income generation.
On this occasion, two MoUs were exchanged between CIFT and M/S HIQ and M/S Aabbaa Fish products on Jack fruit processing and Solar Dryer (50-60 kg) respectively.
Presiding over the function, Dr. Ravishankar C.N., Director, ICAR-CIFT, Cochin briefed about commendable contributions of the Institute in the realm of Indian fishery and contemporary scientific achievements in the harvest and post-harvest sectors of fisheries. He outlined in detail the achievements of CIFT last year.
Dr. K.K. Vijayan, Director, ICAR-CIBA, Chennai, in his inaugural address, said ICAR-CIFT is providing quality service to stakeholders all over the country. He lauded the commendable teamwork done under the able leadership of the institute for developing several promising fishing, processing and post-harvest technologies for better income generation.
Earlier in the day, the institute conducted an OPEN HOUSE program to reach out to the common people to expose them to the innovative technologies of institute and interact with scientists.
