J&K's ACS Flags off Vegetable Seedlings for Gurez under HADP

The Agriculture Production Department of Jammu and Kashmir has taken a significant step towards promoting vegetable cultivation in the far-flung areas of the state.

Additional Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo flagged off a consignment of vegetable seedlings for Gurez under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP). The consignment included seedlings of tomato, brinjal, chillies, kale, saag khanyari, red cabbage, and green cabbage.

In his statement, Dulloo mentioned that the department is making efforts to expand vegetable cultivation both vertically and horizontally. The consignment of seedlings to Gurez is a crucial step towards this goal. The government is committed to the development of agriculture and allied sectors in all regions of Jammu and Kashmir, and promoting vegetable cultivation can boost the socio-economic landscape of farmers.
