The Uttar Pradesh government is not only providing jobs to migrant labourers returning home from other states but is also trying to give employment to the talented people to the best of their ability. In addition, it has taken a big initiative to improve the banking system of the state.
The Yogi government has started Banking Correspondent Sakhi Yojna or BC Sakhi yojana to provide banking facilities to every village in the state. In this scheme, the government will give jobs to women.
Under this scheme, the government will appoint banking correspondent Sakhi in rural areas. In the first phase, 58000 women will be given jobs under this scheme.
All the banking associates working under this scheme will go door to door and will tell about the government-run schemes and banking facilities there. Not only this, the important work related to the bank of the villagers will also be done.
Under BC Sakhi Yojana, every banking correspondent Sakhi will be given Rs 4000 per month by the government for the next 6 months. Apart from this, commission will also be given by banks for making transactions. Hence women will get a fixed income every month through this scheme.
The objective of this scheme is to prevent corona infection and to maintain social distancing amongst people. With the help of this scheme, the women of the village will now be able to provide banking services at home to the people.
