Karnataka will soon distribute Ayurvedic medicines to increase immunity

To discuss managing and controlling the growing coronavirus in the state, Karnataka Chief Minister has met with his legislators and parliamentarians. A preliminary plan was sketched and the decision was taken to look into whether the distribution of Ayurvedic medicine can increase immunity.

States beside Karnataka are also looking into the option of Ayurvedic to increase immunity.  Tamil Nadu is distributing Kabasura Kudineer in its local bodies trying to improve immunity in people. Kerala also announced it is looking into Ayurveda to fight the novel coronavirus.

After the Chief Minister announced there would be no lockdown implemented in the state.

Yediyurappa in the meeting discussed various points on what role state politicians can play to manage the situation.

Chief Minister Yediyurappa has asked the state MLAs to visit COVID-19 hospitals and bring situation to his notice. MLAs suggested that a nodal officer should be appointed for each assembly to handle the situation.

Other suggestions include that new private hospitals have been identified to house patients with COVID-19. However, the state government on Wednesday also issued a list of 20 private hospitals in which 50 percent of the beds will be allocated for patients with COVID-19. However, legislators said they are not happy with the decision as the private hospitals charge more for the treatment.

Karnataka was seen as a COVID-19 fighter at first as cases in the state reduced. Bangalore being a metropolitan city recorded very few cases in the initial days. However, things changed now as new cases are increasing day by day in the state and in Banglore city as well.

The state government is now planning to convert marriage halls outside of the Banglore city to COVID-19 centers.
