Kharif Crop Sown in 92.85 Lakh Hectare so far
The total sown area as on 16th June 2017, as per reports received from States, stands at 92.85 lakh hectare as compared to 87.59 lakh hectare at this time last year. It is reported that rice has been sown/transplanted in 9.22 lakh ha, pulses in 2.22 lakh ha, sugarcane in 47.52 lakh hectare and cotton in 16.67 lakh ha.
