Farming is considered as a primary occupation in India which is highly dependent on agriculture. But still it is considered as the most underestimated occupation. For any country, Agriculture is its backbone, not only in words but also in reality.

This is why Farmers Day is celebrated every year on 23rd December across the nation with great zeal and fervor. On this day, the nation pays tribute to the ones who put their heart and soul into the soil to give it life and give us food.

National Farmers Day or Kisan Diwas is a day dedicated to the farmers and Annadatta's of our country. Kisan Diwas is celebrated with great enthusiasm to remember the birth anniversary of Chaudhary Charan Singh, the 5th Prime Minister of India who was born on 23 December 1902 in Hapur. He made every possible effort to improve the lives of the farmers of the country and due to his efforts many agricultural bills were passed.

In view of his significant contribution for Annadata, National Farmers Day started being celebrated from 2001 onwards. Actually, farmers are considered to be the backbone of India's economic development. This day is celebrated to introduce the important role of farmers in the overall economic and social development of the country.

However, this year, Kisan Diwas will be different as compared to the earlier years as our food makers are fighting for their rights at the moment.

On this day, people are made aware of the importance of farmers and their status. On this special occasion, you can wish everyone a happy Kisan Day through these wonderful WhatsApp stickers, Facebook greetings, GIF images, messages, and celebrate this day in a special way.

They are the ones who put their heart and soul into the soil to give it life and give us food…. Let us thank them for their efforts and salute their hard work….
