Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Indore Celebrated International Women’s Day with Great Fervor

International Women's day celebration by KVK Indore: In the program, 50 women farmers from the village Ganduka ans nearby villages participated. All the scientists and activists of KVK including Mr. Nitin Pachalania provided their valuable support.

“Women have a lot of potential in the present time and rights too. If they use these abilities and rights properly, they can face any kind of problem and develop themselves as well as educate and take the country to the pinnacle of progress,” said Smt. Kavita Patidar, Sarpanch, Rajpura Kuti on the occasion of “International Women’s Day Celebration” organized by Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Kasturbagram, Indore on March 8 at Village Gaudkua She was the Chief Guest of the program.

Prior to this, the chairperson of the program, Fula Bai, the Sarpanch of village Gaudka, the Chief Guest Kavita Patidar, and the Program Coordinator of the Center for Agricultural Sciences, Alok Deshwal duly inaugurated the program by lighting a lamp in front of Maa Kasturba’s portrait.  

Expressing her views, Madam Chief Guest added that the rural women do a lot of farming work, but if they also use advanced technology, then both time and labor will be saved and agricultural work could be done easily. Information about new techniques can be obtained from Krishi Vigyan Kendra.

Dr. Deshwal, Program Coordinator of Krishi Vigyan Kendra motivated women to become self-reliant on the occasion of International Women’s Day 

Home Scientist, Smt. Archana Singh provided information about useful agricultural techniques for women. Horticulture Scientist of the centerDr. D.K. Mishra highlighted the importance of International Women’s Day. 

On the occasion, Woman farmer Sritikala bai Panwar of village Shivanagar was awarded a shawl and certificate by Krishi Vigyan Kendra for the operation of self-help group and contribution in the field of advanced farming.  

In the program, 50 women farmers from the village Ganduka and nearby villages participated. All the scientists and activists of KVK including Mr. Nitin Pachalania provided their valuable support. Agricultural Extension Scientist Dr. Radheshyam Taylor said the acknowledgment and gratitude words.
