Krushi bhushan Dadaji Khobragade expires after prolonged sickness

Chandrapur (Maharashtra): A krushibhushan and one of the world's best rural entrepreneurs in 2010's Forbes list, DadajiKhobragade died in Search Hospital in Gadchiroli on Sunday evening. He was 85 years old. Dadaji was suffering from paralysis from the last few months and was undergoing treatment since then. His last rites will be performed in his hometown in Nanded on Monday.

Chandrapur (Maharashtra): A krushi bhushan and one of the world's best rural entrepreneurs in 2010's Forbes list, Dadaji Khobragade died in Search Hospital in Gadchiroli on Sunday evening. He was 85 years old. Dadaji was suffering from paralysis from the last few months and was undergoing treatment since then. His last rites will be performed in his hometown in Nanded on Monday.

Dadiji got recognized as a rice researcher in the year 1983. Due to poor economic conditions at home, he could only study till the 3rd grade. But this didn't stop him and he started his research on different crops that he nurtured in his 1.5 acres of land. He developed nine varieties of rice like HMT, Vijay Nanded, Nanded Hira, DRK, DRK 2, etc, which are grown in different parts of the country.

Dadji was felicitated with many national and international awards for his valuable contribution to agriculture industry. His remarkable work was also appreciated by many dignitaries like ex-agriculture minister SharadPawar, ex-president Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam and many more.
