The Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), under the Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, made a historic step during the consecration of the idol of Sri Ram at the newly constructed temple in Ayodhya, in line with the vision of "Self-reliant and Developed India" outlined by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The initiative, carried out under the Sri Ram Mahotsav, KhadiSamvad, and Village Industries Development Scheme, involved the distribution of machinery and toolkits in District Bhiwani, Tehsil-Siwani, Village-Jhumpa of Haryana.

On this momentous occasion, various tools and machinery were distributed to thousands of artisans, beneficiaries, and local residents. The Chief Guest, Biplab Kumar Deb, Member of Parliament, RajyaSabha, along with other dignitaries, graced the program, witnessing the consecration of Sri Ram Lalla in Ayodhya. The event was made accessible to a larger audience through live telecast on a massive LED screen.

KVIC's Contribution

KVIC, led by Chairman Manoj Kumar, and in the presence of Cabinet Minister Jai PrakashDalal, distributed electric-operated chalks, bee boxes, agarbatti machines, leather tool kits, and certificates to various beneficiaries, supporting the welfare of artisans and promoting rural empowerment.

Biplav Kumar Dev acknowledged the commendable work of KVIC in rural empowerment under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He highlighted that KVIC's special toolkit distribution program during the consecration of Sri Ram Lalla reinforced India's commitment to self-reliance and development.

Haryana Government's Efforts

Cabinet Minister Jai Prakash Dalal praised the 'double engine' government in Haryana for significant contributions to farmer welfare. He emphasized KVIC's role in taking government schemes to every village, empowering rural artisans over the past 9 years.

Chairman's Reflections

Kumar, Chairman of KVIC, expressed the historic significance of the day, with Lord Sri Ram sitting in his house after 500 years. He shared his personal connection to the Ram Janmabhoomi movement, having contributed as a volunteer in 1992. He viewed the consecration as the realization of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's commitment made during the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple Movement.

Modi Government's Guarantee

Highlighting the success of Modi's government, Kumar asserted that the guarantee of a self-reliant and developed India is now embodied in the government's commitment. KVIC, through various employment-oriented schemes, continues to promote Khadi and indigenous products, providing self-employment and economic support to poor artisans across the country.

Manoj Kumar noted the revival of Khadi under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, with Khadi and village industry products crossing Rs 1.34 lakh crore in business over the last 9 years. The production of Khadi textiles has increased significantly, and sales have seen a remarkable surge, reaching Rs 6000 crore.
