Terming Gujarat's model of development a failure, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that “Chhattisgarh’s development model is being discussed everywhere today as even the landless people have become capable of flying in planes with the earnings from selling cow dung.”
Baghel also targeted the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath regarding stray cattle management by saying “Stray cattle are increasing road accidents and farmers are worried on how to save their crops from them. But, in Chhattisgarh, we have made a provision to purchase cow dung at Rs 2 per kg and created 7,777 cattle sheds. This step has increased the earnings of dairy operators, farmers, and even landless. By selling cow dung, many purchased mangalsutra for their wife, laptop for their daughters, and air tickets for traveling in planes.”
“We plan to set up 10,000 more cattle sheds this year. We are finding ways to ensure that people have money in their pockets. However, in UP, when we asked traders about their business during Diwali, they said buyers had no money”, he added.
Baghel targeted PM Modi on the Gujarat development model and doubling farmers’ income when he said that “Gujarat model of development has failed while Chhattisgarh model of development is being discussed in the country as most of the promises made by Rahul Gandhi before state election have been fulfilled there. Shortage of DAP, fertilizers has left farmers struggling and they are compelled to commit suicide.”
“Since the BJP government came to power in UP in 2017, question papers of recruitment exams were leaked eight times”, he alleged that “Developing Kashi Vishwanath Dham has snatched the livelihood of many traders.”
Baghel is the Congress party’s observer for UP elections said “The new construction has deprived devotees of the spiritual experience near KV Temple.”
Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav was also targeted by Baghel – “The SP Chief did not come out of his house in the past four and half years. He also did protests from his home but had come out now when the election is to be held.”
“Party General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will be party’s face in the 2022 UP Assembly Elections” –Baghel informed.
