LATEST! Central Government Employees Get Rs 2000 Salary Hike As Per Their Location under 7th Pay Commission by This Method

Central Government gave the green signal for House Rent Allowance (HRA) revision for more than 52 lakh employees. Adding to it, HRA of state government employees has also been increased in Haryana. It is made possible by the upgradation of their city in terms of population for HRA revision.

According to it, there will be a salary increase of Rs 800 to Rs 2000 for each employee in the upgraded cities. Like for, Chandigarh, Panchkula and Mohali in Haryana have been upgraded as per population increase. Their salaries in these cities will also certainly increase as they will be entitled to more HRA.

What is the order of Haryana Government for HRA under 7th Pay Commission?

According to the 7th pay commission recommendations, the Haryana government has implemented the revised HRA from 1 August 2019. Under this, the state government employees posted in different cities and towns will be given a new revised HRA under Census 2011. It will in return increase the salary of employees from Rs 800 to Rs 2000.

All Employees Union has demanded that the central government must increase HRAs from July 2017. The order of the government now states that HRA increases will be effective from August 1, 2019. As per the union, employees will not get 24 months' arrears due to non-implementation of HRA from July 2017.

There are three categories formed for HRA in the 7th Pay Commission report. Out of these, cities with population of 50 lakh or above have been kept in the X category. Employees who are working in these cities get 24 percent or minimum Rs 5400 HRA.

Cities having a population of less than 5-50 lakh are in the Y category. These employees will get 16 percent or the minimum of Rs 3600 as HRA. Lastly, the cities with less than 5 lakh population are kept in Z category. Here the employees get 8 percent or a minimum of Rs. 1800 HRA.
