Prince Charles, 71 year old has tested positive for coronavirus, informed his office today. The Prince of Wales is the first in line to the British throne. He is experiencing mild symptoms "but otherwise remains in good health," said Clarence House in a statement.

The statement added, “For the last few days, Prince has carried out a high number of public engagements. Thus, it was not possible to know when or where exactly he had caught the virus. He was accompanied by Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall. Though, she has tested negative for the virus.”

However, Charles is now self-isolating and working from home at the Balmoral Estate in Scotland. He is the eldest son of Queen Elizabeth II, aged 93. The queen moved from Buckingham Palace to Windsor Castle a week earlier than planned for the Easter period.

Buckingham Palace stated, "Her Majesty the Queen remains in good health.” She last saw The Prince of Wales briefly on 12th March morning & is following all the appropriate advice with regard to her welfare."

The queen stated last week, "We are all being advised to change our normal routines and regular patterns of life for the greater good of the communities we live in and, in particular, to protect the most vulnerable within them."

There have been around 8,077 recorded coronavirus cases in the United Kingdom so far and 422 deaths. Prime Minister Boris Johnson has imposed strict controls on daily life. He shuttered many businesses & is ordering people to stay indoors.
