The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) this year is not only conducting board exams early but has also decided to announce results earlier than usual i.e. by 10th May, informed a senior official at the CBSE regional office in Dehradun.

The senior official on condition of anonymity told that “The Central Board of Secondary Education has decided to complete evaluation of all examination papers by 20th April and declare the results by 10th May 2019.”

Though, there was no information on whether results for both class 12 and 10 would be announced on the same date mentioned above.

CBSE had earlier this month had issued a notification saying that class 10 as well as class 12 results would be declared earlier this year. It must be noted that results for both the classes are generally declared in the 3rd week of May.

The official further said that “The CBSE took the decision to declare the results by 10th May this year, following a directive from the Delhi High Court. The board wants to ensure that by the time children take admission in colleges in the month of June or if students want to change schools then they must have the final documents including the mark sheet and examination certificate with them”.

In Uttarakhand 43,411 children will be appearing for class 10 board examinations while 38,795 students will give class 12 board exams across 156 centres this year (2019).

The CBSE regional office has appointed 15 deputy city coordinators and 32 city coordinators for better transparency and security of the examination process.

Moreover, the compartment examinations for both the classes will also be conducted early as compared to previous years.

Once the results are declared, students can check their marks on the official websites of CBSE. To check the results candidates must have their roll number/registration number (admit card), full name, date of birth and school/centre number with them.
