As the 'Millionaire Farmer of India Award 2023' (MFOI) curtain raiser successfully concluded on Friday, July 7, 2023, the who's who of the agriculture world, Minister of Fisheries & Animal Husbandry, Parshottam Rupala, and Narendra Singh Tomar, Minister of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, spoke about the welfare of the farming community. The final award ceremony will be held on the National Farmers Day or Kisan Divas, Dec 23, 2023.

The 'Millionaire Farmer Award of India 2023' (MFOI) curtain raiser ceremony was conducted on Friday, July 7, 2023, at the Ashok Hotel, where the vision of MC Dominic, Founder & Editor-in-Chief, Krishi Jagran, became a reality as the chief guest, Minister of Fisheries & Animal Husbandry, Parshottam Rupala unveiled the trophy and the logo of the prestigious award to be given on December 23, 2023, i.e. the National Farmers Day. 

 

Krishi Jagran will be rewarding all those unsung heroes, from across India, on National Farmers Day or Kisan Divas, Dec 23, 2023, right here in the heart of New Delhi. The event is meant to witness crème de la crème – from top-shot ministers to industrialists to entertainers – the most successful names will be presenting the Millionaire Farmer of India Awards 2023.

MC Dominic expressed his heartfelt gratitude towards all the participants of the event. The program has been meticulously scheduled for three consecutive days, namely December 21, 22, and 23. The first day, December 21, will be dedicated to honoring farmers from the district with well-deserved awards. On the following day, December 22, farmers from the state will take center stage and receive recognition for their remarkable achievements. The grand finale of the event will be held on December 23, coinciding with Farmers' Day or Kisan Diwas, where the prestigious 'Millionaire Farmer of India Award' will be presented. This award aims to establish farmers as prominent brands and uplift their status in society. The event promises to be an extraordinary celebration of the farming community and their invaluable contributions to the nation.

The Minister of Agriculture in India directed his attention towards the progress and development of the agricultural sector. During his address, he provided several examples of individuals who have actively participated in various aspects of agriculture. Moreover, he expressed his belief that the 'Millionaire Farmer of India Award' initiated by the Krishi Jagran team would serve as a powerful incentive for people to engage in the field of agriculture. The Minister commended Mr. Dominic and the entire team at Krishi Jagran for their efforts in recognizing farmers' accomplishments and highlighting their importance to the world.

I am extremely delighted to know that the curtain raiser ceremony of the millionaire farmer award of India is finally happening," Narendra Singh Tomar, the Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, said. He also expressed his heartfelt blessings and well-wishes for the event. He highlighted the significance of the awards and the extraordinary accomplishments of the farming community.

In a groundbreaking move, Mr. Dominic and the dedicated team at Krishi Jagran have elevated the discourse on farmers' welfare by introducing the innovative 'Millionaire Farmer of India Award'. While the concept of doubling farmers' income has been widely discussed, this award represents a significant leap forward in recognizing and empowering farmers. Mr. Dominic emphasized the prevailing issue of farmers often not receiving fair prices for their crops, highlighting the urgent need for a comprehensive policy framework that supports their profitability. He encouraged everyone to rally behind such initiatives and champion the cause of farmers' financial well-being. Additionally, he mentioned how Mr. Dominic emphasized the importance of diversifying income streams in the agricultural sector, suggesting that farmers explore secondary agriculture alongside primary agricultural activities to maximize profits and overall sustainability.

During the event, the Minister congratulates Krishi Jagran and its team members for the successful organization of the 'Millionaire Farmer of India (MFOI) Awards'. He highlighted the fact that nearly 60 percent of India's population is engaged in agriculture, emphasizing that the field encompasses more than just production. The Minister emphasized the importance of collaboration and teamwork to streamline the agricultural process and make it more efficient. Furthermore, he addressed the concerning issue of the recent surge in tomato prices, drawing attention to the need for effective measures to address this matter.

Expressing gratitude for Krishi Jagran's monumental initiative, he highlighted the transformative potential that has emerged in the field of agriculture. With recent developments and advancements, farmers now have the opportunity to aspire to become millionaires. He mentioned about the significant contribution of agriculture to the national economy, accounting for approximately 18 percent, while also emphasizing that a substantial portion of the population, around 40-45 percent, relies on agriculture for their livelihood. In this context, he praised the pivotal role played by Krishi Jagran in disseminating crucial information and keeping farmers abreast of the latest trends in agriculture.

The program concluded after the unveiling of the trophy and the logo. The staff members of Krishi Jagran were wearing the T-Shirt depicting the logo of this award as well as waving flags in their hands. It was a moment of another milestone in their journey in order to make the lives of farmers meaningful.
