'MFOI Samridh Kisan Utsav 2024': Over 200 Farmers Converge in Kondagaon for Agricultural Innovation and Empowerment

Krishi Jagran hosted the 'MFOI Samridh Kisan Utsav' in Chhattisgarh to promote advanced agricultural practices and innovations, which witnessed the participation of notable dignitaries.

On June 14, 2024, Krishi Jagran organized the 'MFOI Samridh Kisan Utsav' at the Krishi Vigyan Kendra in Kondagaon, Chhattisgarh. This event, sponsored by Mahindra Tractors and supported by Action Construction Equipment Limited (ACE), focused on the theme 'Maximizing Farmers Income for a Prosperous Bharat.' The objective was to enrich the agricultural community with the latest practices and innovations. The gathering brought together progressive farmers and industry experts to discuss various topics, including farm machinery, agri-equipment, fisheries, and integrated farming.

The event was graced by Chief Guests Bhojraj Nag, Kanker MP, and Neelkanth Tekam, MLA Keshkal, Chhattisgarh. Over 200 farmers participated, gaining insights into new technologies. The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) served as the knowledge partner, emphasizing community development and knowledge sharing.

The day commenced with participant registration, followed by a lamp-lighting ceremony. Dr. Om Prakash, Senior Scientist & Head, delivered the welcome address, and Vivek Kumar Rai, Content Head of Krishi Jagran's Hindi Department, outlined the program and explained Krishi Jagran's mission and the purpose of the Samridh Kisan Utsav. He highlighted the event as a platform for farmers to share their success stories and inspire others.

Dr Raja Ram Tripathi, renowned as the richest farmer in India and MFOI Ambassador, shared an inspiring success story, fostering optimism among attendees. Other notable guests included Devchandra Matlam, District Panchayat Head; Kunal Dudawat, Collector of Kondagaon; Pramila Markam, Chairman of the Standing Committee on Agriculture; Suklal Markam, Upadhyaksh Janpad Pharasgaon ; Praveed Badesha; Tarun Sana; Balram Sahu, Sarpunch, Borgaon ; GassuRam Markam, Sarpanch, Singapuri; SDM, Pharasgaon; Tahsildar, Pharasgaon; CEO, JP Pharasgaon; Deputy Director Agriculture, Farasgaon; Assistant Director, Kondagaon; Deputy Director, Kondagaon, Chiranjeev Kumar, Asst. Area Manager, Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd; Lalit Sahu, Asst Manager Ltd.; Dr. Suresh Markam, SMS; Dr. Priya Sinha, SMS; Dr. Hitesh Kumar Mishra, SMS, Anurag Tripathi, progressive farmer.

Chiranjeevi Kumar, Assistant Area Manager at Mahindra Tractors, highlighted the transformative potential of advanced agricultural machinery. He showcased the latest Mahindra tractor models designed to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Lalit Sahu, Assistant Manager at ACE, provided information on ACE's agricultural equipment, emphasizing features and subsidies available for purchasing ACE products. ACE stalls displayed the newest machinery, offering insights into how these tools can simplify farming.

The chief guest distributed certificates to progressive farmers, acknowledging their achievements and contributions. Those recognized included Pradeep Kumar Sinha, Parbhu Ram Pradhan, Satish Pathak, Gopal Markam, Navluram Markam, Sugrive Netam, Niranjan Haldar, Arvind Markam, Gurmeet Singh, Ganesh Ram Rana, Naresh Bishwas, Vijay Mandal, Harshit Mandal, Anurag Tripathi, and other progressive farmers.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Priya Sinha, marking a successful day dedicated to empowering the farming community and promoting sustainable agricultural practices.

Participants learned about new agricultural techniques and exchanged ideas with peers. Farmers visited the Mahindra Tractors and ACE stalls to gather comprehensive information about the equipment on display. Besides, Mahindra Tractors showcased their latest models, including the Mahindra 475 Di SP Plus Tractor, demonstrating their commitment to supporting agricultural development.
