‘MFOI Samridh Kisan Utsav’ Empowers Farmers in Nilgiris, Tamil Nadu to Boost Farm Income with Latest Agricultural Practices

On July 15, 2024, Krishi Jagran hosted the 'MFOI Samridh Kisan Utsav' Horticulture Complex, Charing Cross, Opp. Durga Hotel, Ettines Road, Ooty, Nilgiris District, Tamil Nadu. Sponsored by Mahindra Tractors, with ICAR- Indian Council of Agricultural Research as an esteemed knowledge partner, this event marks a significant step towards empowering farmers. A number of farmers gathered and gained valuable insights into various innovative farming solutions and the latest agricultural equipment.

The day commenced with participant registration Dr. Scindia (KVK, Nilgiris), Mahama Belliappan (President, TOHFA), Ganeshan Arunasalam (Vice President, TOHFA), Sudha Gokul (Agri Marketing), Shibilla Mary (J.D.- Horticulture Department, Nilgiris) and Chandran (Nodal Officer, Organic Farming Project, Nilgiris), attended the event. Experts shared valuable insights on boosting farm income and celebrated the progressive farmers of the region. More than 60 farmers participated in this program and received information related to new techniques used in farming and farming from the experts.

During the Utsav, farmers of Ooty district visited the Mahindra Tractors stall and got information about new tractor models and the latest technology.

Following the presentations, certificates were distributed to number of progressive farmers, acknowledging their achievements and contributions. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by DP Sharma, marking a successful day dedicated to empowering the farming community and promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
