Mother Dairy has earmarked Rs 650 crore for the establishment of two new processing plants, one dedicated to dairy products and the other to fruits and vegetables.

Mother Dairy, one of the leading milk supplier in Delhi-NCR, has shared plans to invest Rs 750 crore in expanding its processing capacities. This investment includes setting up two new plants and enhancing the capabilities of existing facilities.

New Expansion Plans Unveiled

The dairy giant has earmarked Rs 650 crore for the establishment of two new processing plants, one dedicated to dairy products and the other to fruits and vegetables. It is said that a substantial portion of this investment, over Rs 500 crore, will be channeled into a state-of-the-art dairy plant in Nagpur, Maharashtra. This plant, with an initial reported processing capacity of 6 lakh liters of milk per day, is positioned to cater to the markets in central and southern regions of India.

Additionally, the company plans to set up a new fruit processing plant in Karnataka, investing over Rs 120 crore under its Safal brand. Both these ventures are expected to be completed within a two-year timeframe.

Strengthening Existing Capacities

Apart from venturing into new facilities, Mother Dairy also aims to reinforce its existing infrastructure with an investment of approximately Rs 100 crore. This move underscores the company's commitment to meeting the escalating consumer demand while ensuring operational efficiency.

A Legacy of Nurturing India's Dairy Landscape

Established in 1974 under the visionary initiative of 'Operation Flood' also known as 'White Revolution'. Mother Dairy has been an integral part of India's journey towards self-sufficiency in milk production. Today, as a wholly-owned subsidiary of the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), it continues to uphold its legacy by offering a diverse portfolio of milk and milk products under the trusted 'Mother Dairy' brand.

From its humble beginnings, Mother Dairy has evolved into a multifaceted enterprise, extending its offerings to include edible oils under the 'Dhara' brand and a variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, and other essentials under the 'Safal' brand. With a robust distribution network comprising milk booths and Safal retail outlets across Delhi-NCR, the company serves millions of consumers daily.

Responding to Evolving Consumer Preferences

In line with its commitment to innovation and consumer-centricity, Mother Dairy launched Pure Buffalo Milk in the Delhi-NCR region in January. This premium variant, with its rich taste and creamy texture, underscores the company's dedication to catering to diverse consumer preferences.
