Mulayam Singh Yadav, the former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh and Samajwadi Party leader, is critical and receiving life-saving medication. He is being treated by a diverse team of doctors in the hospital's ICU, according to Dr. Sanjeev Gupta, Medical Director of Medanta Hospital in Gurugram, who spoke to ANI.

Since August 22, Yadav has been receiving treatment in preparation for his routine medical exams and inspections. He was transferred to the ICU at Medanta Hospital last Sunday after his condition abruptly began to deteriorate.

Rajnath Singh, the defense minister, visited Yadav in the hospital on Friday. Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Lalu Prasad Yadav and Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar both paid a visit to the hospital on Wednesday to see how Yadav was doing.

"Met with family, his son Akhilesh Yadav, and sent my best wishes for a speedy recovery. It will take time for a full recovery, according to the doctors,” Khattar stated.

Lalu Yadav declared as he left the hospital, "Praying for his improved health. His condition is improving."

Inquiring about his father’s health earlier, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar also spoke with Akhilesh Yadav. According to sources, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with Akhilesh earlier on Sunday and asked him how his father Mulayam Singh Yadav was doing.

One of the most well-known politicians in Uttar Pradesh, Yadav has three terms as the state's chief minister and has also held the position of defense minister in the federal government.
