National Arogya Fair 2024 Wraps Up with Emphasis on Holistic Health and Traditional Healing

The National Arogya Fair, which concluded today at Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, was a huge success. The closing ceremony, attended by Minister of State for AYUSH and Women and Child Development, Dr. Munjpara Mahendrabhai, witnessed a diverse gathering of practitioners, experts, enthusiasts, and the general public. The primary objective of the event was to showcase the benefits and principles of Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy. The fair aimed at creating awareness and encouraging the adoption of holistic health and wellness practices. Moreover, it served as a platform for fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing among practitioners, experts, and enthusiasts.
Government's Commitment to Holistic Health
Dr. Munjpara Mahendrabhai emphasized the significant steps taken by the Government of India in prioritizing holistic health in public healthcare delivery. Over the last decade, a whole government approach, with a focus on the Ministry of Ayush and Traditional Medicine Systems of India, has been instrumental in addressing modern-day health problems.
Insights and Panel Discussions
The fair featured insightful panel discussions on various aspects of Ayush, adding substantial value to the overall experience. Dr. Munjpara Mahendrabhai expressed satisfaction with the presence of market representatives, the scientific community, innovators, start-ups, and both buyers and sellers.
Dr. Samita Kalra, Ex. Lecturer at M.M.M Govt. Ayurved College Udaipur, Rajasthan, shared profound insights on ‘Beautification through Natural Resources.’ She highlighted the holistic nature of beauty, encompassing both internal and external factors.
Dr. Manoj Nesari, Advisor Ayurveda stressed the crucial role played by the National Arogya Fair in bringing Ayush into mainstream awareness. He emphasized that societal participation in health is a significant responsibility.
Dr. Kirti Deo, a specialist in Ayurvedic Cosmetology, Skin & Hair, delved into non-invasive skincare during a panel discussion. The focus was on facials and medi-facials in Ayurveda, with practical tips for optimizing skin health.
Dynamic Convergence of Healing Traditions
Organized by Shri Puran Chandra Gupta Smarak Trust with the support of the Ministry of Ayush, the four-day event from February 1 to February 4, 2024, showcased a dynamic convergence of India’s rich healing traditions. Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy took center stage, serving as a vibrant testament to the nation’s diverse culture and historical legacy in healthcare.
Attendees had access to free health consultations and enjoyed cultural programs, making the event a holistic celebration of traditional systems of medicine and well-being.
