NDDB Partners with Chhattisgarh Government to Launch White Revolution 2.0

In a significant development, a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), the Chhattisgarh Government, and the Chhattisgarh State Cooperative Dairy Federation (CGCDF). The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai.

This partnership entrusts NDDB with managing CGCDF’s operations, including milk collection, processing, and marketing. It aims to strengthen dairy cooperatives, enhance milk production, and establish a sustainable dairy ecosystem in Chhattisgarh. The initiative is expected to improve dairy infrastructure and uplift the livelihoods of farmers across the state.

The MoU was formalized by Dr. Meenesh Shah, Chairman of NDDB; Shahla Nigar, Secretary of the Department of Livestock Development, Chhattisgarh; and Remigius Ekka, Managing Director of CGCDF. The event also saw the participation of Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma, Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, and other dignitaries.

Dr. Meenesh Shah highlighted the transformative vision of the Ministry of Cooperation under Union Minister Amit Shah, stating that the MoU would promote dairy entrepreneurship and significantly boost farmers incomes. Additionally, it seeks to provide consumers with superior-quality milk products.

As part of this initiative, Dr. Shah announced the launch of White Revolution 2.0 in Chhattisgarh. This ambitious program includes the establishment of 3,200 new multipurpose primary dairy cooperative societies. The initiative aims to transform the dairy sector by enhancing production, ensuring efficient supply chains, and creating employment opportunities.

This MoU is poised to play a pivotal role in reshaping the dairy sector of Chhattisgarh, fostering rural development and economic growth.
