Today, the bench will hear the appeal and decide on the possibility of delaying the medical entrance exam

The hearing on the petition to postpone the National Eligibility comp Entrance Test - Post Graduate (NEET PG) 2023 will resume today in the Supreme Court. The bench previously heard the plea on February 24.

A bench of justices S R Bhat and Dipankar Datta stated on Friday that they would not be making any decisions and requested Additional Solicitor General (ASG) Aishwarya Bhati, who was representing the NBE, to provide a resolution to the petitioners' concerns. The bench said, "When we postpone a judicial test, there is agony for the applicants who are studying for it. For those who are waiting for this (examination), it is mental torture. The entire dynamic shifts.

Today, the bench will hear the appeal and decide on the possibility of delaying the medical entrance exam. Aspirants and FAIMA (Federation of All India Medical Association) representatives are still pressing for a postponement, arguing that if the gap between the entrance exam and counseling is not narrowed, applicants would lose a lot of time.
