Nissan Motor Appoints Frank Torres as New President of Indian Operations
Torres will take over as president of Indian operations on April 1 while continuing to oversee Nissan's European Regional Business Unit East (Russia) and Nissan's Spanish Industrial Operations, according to the company. He will report to Guillaume Cartier, Nissan AMIEO Chairperson.
Nissan Motor Co., a Japanese automaker, announced on Wednesday that Frank Torres, a senior executive, has been named president of its Indian business. Torres has also been named AMIEO (Africa, Middle East, India, Europe, and Oceania) Region Divisional Vice President for Business Transformation, according to the business.
It also named Atsushi Najima, the current Managing Director of Nissan Philippines, as Chief Financial Officer of its Indian business.

He succeeds Sinan Ozkok, who was in charge of the SUV Magnite's successful debut in India and export to other countries.
Torres began his career with Nissan in Spain in 2007 as a Production Engineering Analyst, rising through the ranks to become Region Divisional Vice President for Business Transformation and Alliance in 2021.
Najima will succeed Mark Davidson, who will become the CFO of the COMPAS manufacturing unit in Mexico, according to Nissan. Atsushi's time would be spent between New Delhi and Chennai.
"The launch of Magnite from our Chennai plant has given our customers in India and beyond a taste of what Nissan can offer, and we look forward to delivering greater innovation and excitement to the market under our Ambition 2030 strategy," Torres said.
Nissan India's CFO is Atsushi Najima, who was previously the MD of Nissan Philippines. With a dotted line to Frank Torres, Atsushi will report directly to Mohamed Aly, director control AMIO. Mark Davidson, who returned to MC Americas as CFO of the COMPAS production unit in Mexico, will be replaced by Atsushi. Atsushi's time would be spent between New Delhi and Chennai.
