National People's Party (NPP) in Meghalaya has released its manifesto for the upcoming assembly elections

In addition to what was previously mentioned, the NPP manifesto also emphasizes the resolution of the long-standing border dispute between Meghalaya and Assam.

The party has taken steps towards resolving the issue and has pledged to continue working towards arriving at a workable agreement by engaging with all stakeholders concerned. The NPP has also promised to maintain peace and harmony in the state by investing in modernizing police infrastructure and strengthening cyber security capabilities.

In terms of government services, the NPP has pledged to ensure that every village has access to government services by creating 1,000 Chief Minister's Facilitation Centers. The party has promised to connect every village with all-weather roads and RCC/Steel Bridge and has a detailed village-by-village plan to connect Meghalaya through all-weather roads.

The NPP has further promised to continue its support to farmers through flagship programs such as FOCUS and FOCUS+. The party has promised to continue existing schemes that have benefited the people with greater support and coverage and to take up new schemes and policies to make Meghalaya one of the top 10 states in the country.

It is important to note that the NPP's relationship with its ruling partner, the BJP, has been strained, with the BJP breaking away from the Meghalaya Democratic Alliance and contesting the elections alone on all 60 seats in the state.
