Parents looking for nursery admission 2019 need to be careful!! About 105 schools in New Delhi have been asked to put on hold their nursery admission process for the year 2019 as they failed to make their criteria public within the set deadline. The Directorate of Education (DoE) has suggested parents not to approach these schools till the department issues any further notice to avoid any problem.

A senior DoE bureaucrat told that “In order to maintain transparency and consistency in admission, the admission process of these 105 schools at entry level for 2019 to 2020 academic session has been put on hold till further orders”. He added “If these schools are found conducting admissions despite being prohibited to do so, then necessary action as per norms will be taken without any further notice”.

The nursery admission 2019 process started on Saturday in New Delhi. Some of the criteria listed by schools for nursery admissions include distance from residence to school, sibling quota, single child, first child, parents being alumni of the school etc. As per the schedule released by DoE for nursery admission 2019, the application window will remain open from 15 December to 7 January. The first list of chosen candidates along with marks obtained by them will be released on 4 February. The second list will be displayed on 21 February. And the nursery admission process will close on 31 March.
