The Annual review meeting of AICRP on “Nutritional and physiological interventions for enhancing reproductive performance in animals” and “Outreach programme on Methane emission under different feeding systems and development of mitigation strategies” was held during 26-27 th May 2018 at BAIF, Pune.

Dr. Joykrushna Jena, Deputy Director General (Animal Science), Chief Guest of the inaugural function, stressed the need to work on a ‘business model’ and deliver the technologies to meet the expectations of the livestock farmers.  He also released the Annual report of AICRP.

Dr B S Prakash, ADG (AN & P), ICAR, Guest of honour, said the programme has come to the ‘’business end’’ and time has come for deliverables. He emphasized the need to validate the technologies developed at different centres and transfer them to the end users. He released the Annual report of Outreach programme on methane.

Dr Raghavendra Bhatta, Director, ICAR-NIANP & Coordinator of AICRP briefed about the ongoing programme and salient achievements.

Shri. G G Sohane, President, BAIF briefed about the activities of BAIF. He released the technical brochure on Oestrus synchronization protocol in dairy animals.
