Organic Mahotsav 2019 - Day 2 of Event at Udaipur

Organic Mahotsav 2019 is the 7th in series of the popular biennial conventions held by the Organic Farming Association of India. The event is being held in Udaipur (Rajasthan) at Shilpgram from 29th November to 1st December, 2019. The convention provides a platform for organic farmers from all over India to share, learn and grow. Renowned farmers, scientists, policy makers, seed savers, innovators come together to bring the developments in organic farming to a common platform – the ultimate goal being growth of our farmers while also replenishing our natural resources. Renowned and well-known organic practitioners and guests from all over India and abroad are participating in this Grand Mahotsav. Day 2 starts on Saturday, 30th November, 2019.

An agenda is already been prepared and speakers have been allotted times in the order in which they are to be taken up from beginning. The first in the series of talks and discussion in the morning will have various speakers like Dr Kumar and Ravi Kelkar, Vaishali Malviya, Prem Singh who will be discussing on the Future of Organic farming. Shiva Prasad will be detailing on the Conservation and distribution of Traditional Seeds. Bhumijaa will elaborate on the the future of food and the role of small Agripreneurs. Navroop Singh will discuss on Traditional Cow Care, Gauri Sarin will be In conversation with Rambabu – LIVING WITHOUT MEDICINE and Sanjoy Singh will explain his tryst with Organic pulses farming -Opportunities and Challenges.

Prelunch lunch hours Kapil Shah will detail on issues with Organic Certification System and Alternative Quality Assurance System. Akash Badave will be elaborating on Community mobilization and Farmer Producer Organization, Akash Chourasia on Multi Layer farming and Sachin Desai on Smyantak Univerity of Life.

There are many other interesting sessions like Agroecological way of Managing Weeds, A Model Organisation - Kerela Jaiva Karshaka Samithi, Multi cropping system ,Biodynamic farming, Holistic Understanding of Water and its linkages to soil, forest, farming, economy and culture. The second day ends with the Gaba-Seed to Fabric Show at Amphitheater and Kabir Concert.
