Punjab Agri-Business Incubator (PABI) has announced a new initiative designed to foster innovation and technological progress among students in agriculture and related fields. The initiative offers substantial financial and technical backing to selected students, with each recipient eligible for a one-time grant of up to INR 4 lakh.

Dr. Tejinder Singh Riar, Principal Investigator at PABI, highlighted the significance of this program in helping students turn their innovative ideas into practical projects. "We are committed to supporting the next generation of entrepreneurs in the agriculture sector, providing them with the resources and guidance needed to succeed," Dr. Riar stated.

This funding is designed to aid students in developing and executing their innovative concepts. The program’s inclusivity is reflected in its eligibility criteria: students are not required to be officially registered as startups under DPIIT guidelines, thereby broadening access to potential beneficiaries.

In addition to financial support, the program highlights the importance of innovation and startup activities. It engages students in activities that promote problem-solving abilities and an entrepreneurial spirit. Participants will also have opportunities to network with stakeholders at regional, national, and international levels.

Application Process:

PABI invites students from the agriculture and allied sectors to apply for this unique opportunity. To participate, students must submit their applications through the official PABI website, including a comprehensive proposal outlining their innovative idea, its potential impact, and a detailed implementation plan.

Applications can be submitted via the PABI website [https://paupabiraftaar.co.in/] or by emailing pabi@pau.edu. Additionally, a Google Form for submissions is available at [https://forms.gle/25eK6ThkHXGpbwQn7]. The application deadline is August 19, 2024.

For more information and to apply, visit the PABI website or contact pabi@pau.edu.
