PAU Startups Win Two Awards at CIPHET Kisan Mela
Two startups trained by the Punjab Agri Business Incubator (PABI) of the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) were awarded at the Kisan Mela, organized by the Central Institute of Post-Harvest Engineering and Technology (CIPHET)
Two startups trained by the Punjab Agri Business Incubator (PABI) of the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) were awarded at the Kisan Mela, organized by the Central Institute of Post-Harvest Engineering and Technology (CIPHET) in Ludhiana, from October 3 to 5, 2023.
First startup named, Agsure Private Limited owned by Abhinav Mahajan won the second prize in the machine category. It focused on developing an app-based platform for the stakeholders of the agricultural industry to communicate. This particular startup was selected under PABI from a two-month training programme.
The second startup belonging to Shruti Goyal was awarded the second prize in the category of exhibition. This startup manufactures gluten-free mishty rose petal jam.
Dr Poonam A Sachdev, Co-Principal Investigator, PABI, congratulated the team of PABI for their efforts in supporting startups and giving them good market outreach. She further mentions that it was the initiative of PABI that motivated its startups to participate in the Kisan Mela.
