" by the Hon`ble Union Minister of Food Processing Industries, Smt Harsimrat Kaur Badal by Tweater in the National Media Centre on the occasion of the curtain raiser event for World Food India 2017 to be held in Delhi on 2-5 November 2017 in Vigyan Bhawan to be inaugurated by the Hon`ble Prime Miniter Shri Narendra Modi.

 World Food Day is celebrated every year around the world on 16 October in honor of the date of the founding of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in 1945. The day is celebrated widely by many other organizations concerned with food security, including the World Food Programme and the International Fund for Agricultural Development.

 The World Food India is for Transforming India`s Food Economy. There shall be participation of 200 global companies with 50 global CEOs from 15 countries. Japan, Denmark and Germany shall be the Partner countries and the focus shall be by Italy and Netherlands. Indian states 28 in number and 12 as partner states with focus by 8 states and special focus shall be again 8 states covering almost the whole India.

 The idea is the double the farmer income by highlighting from Farm to plate then no waste. CEOs of Indian top 100 companies had also confirmed to be there in the showcase. The consumers and the common man shall be benefitted with the varied tastes.

 Padma Shri Awardee Chef Sanjeev Kapoor had given the tip of 6th taste to be witnessed during the three day event in the first week of the November. The showcase shall be organized by the CII and Shri Rakesh Bharti Mittal, President Designate Cii and Vice Chairman Bharti Enterprises also thanked the 9 countries Ambassadors' and reterated the pledge that from today on the occasion of the World Food Day, we should not waste the food on our plates.

 On this occasion Krishi Jagran also signed the pledge.
