Prime Minister Narendra Modi disbursed the 15th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme on November 15, 2023, allocating over Rs 18,000 crore to benefit more than 8 crore farmers.

Despite this, reports reveal that numerous eligible farmers are yet to receive the promised amount of Rs 2000, sparking concerns about the delay in the distribution process.

The PM-KISAN scheme, a flagship initiative of the government, aims to provide financial assistance to all landholding farmers across the country.

Under this program, eligible farming families receive Rs. 6000 annually, distributed in three equal installments of Rs. 2000 every four months, to support their agricultural and domestic needs. However, the recent installment seems to be pending for some beneficiaries, prompting the need for a solution.

To address this issue, farmers awaiting the 15th installment can take steps to rectify the delay. The government has established the PM-KISAN Helpdesk, where farmers can lodge complaints regarding the non-receipt of funds. Complaints can be filed during weekdays, and farmers can also use email to communicate their grievances.

Farmers are encouraged to verify their eligibility by checking the beneficiary list before filing a complaint. The verification process involves visiting the official website pmkisan.gov.in and selecting 'Beneficiary Status' under the 'Farmers Corner.'

Subsequently, details such as state, district, sub-district, and panchayat, along with the registered Aadhaar or bank account number, should be entered. Clicking 'Get Data' will then display the installment status.

One possible reason for the delay in fund distribution is non-compliance with e-KYC norms, which the government has mandated for all PM-KISAN Yojana beneficiaries. Farmers need to ensure that their eKYC is in order and that their Aadhaar is linked to their operational bank accounts for the successful transfer of the 15th installment.

While the 15th installment of the PM-Kisan scheme has been released, some farmers are still awaiting the credited amount. The government urges affected farmers to use the PM-KISAN Helpdesk for grievance registration, providing helpline numbers and email addresses for support.

Additionally, it is essential for farmers to confirm their eligibility by checking the beneficiary list and ensuring compliance with e-KYC norms to avoid any further delays in receiving the entitled financial support.
