Prime Minister Narendra Modi reiterated the significant strides made in the agriculture sector through the adoption of drone technology. Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya’s recently published article to shed light on the transformational potential of 'The Drone Moment of Indian Agriculture,' showcasing its impact on farmers’ lives.

Mandaviya's narrative resonates with a pivotal moment in Punjab, where he encountered farmers enthusiastically operating drones to spray liquid nano urea. This sighting marked a significant shift in farming practices, reflecting the dawn of a new era in Indian agriculture.

The article indicates that the introduction of drones in farming techniques represents a pivotal stage comparable to the Green Revolution, signifying a third wave of agricultural revolution in India. The deployment of agri-drones has modernized and streamlined farming practices, replacing laborious manual methods of pesticide and fertilizer application with efficient drone-based spraying.

This innovation aligns with the government’s initiatives to promote sustainable agriculture, such as PM PRANAM and GOBARdhan, aiming to balance fertilizer usage for long-term environmental health. The advent of indigenous nano fertilizers has proven to be eco-friendly and efficient, significantly reducing conventional urea use while enhancing crop yields.

PM Modi posted on X (formerly Twitter) Union Minister @mansukhmandviya explains how the advancement of kisan drones provides an effective and efficient technique for the application of liquid fertilisers, leading to increase in farmers' earnings and improving their quality of life.)

The government's Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra has played a pivotal role in showcasing the potential of drones in farming, conducting over 50,000 drone demonstrations across states. These demonstrations have sparked immense interest among farmers, paving the way for the widespread adoption of this technology in agricultural practices.
